150th Logo
General Meaning of the Signature
Created in collaboration with Centre de formation professionnelle de Verdun (Vocational Training Centre), the 150th logo is meant to reflect the borough’s modern and unique characteristics.
The logo features the name “Verdun” in capital letters, juxtaposed with “Verdun” in script shaped like a blue wave. The logo highlights the presence of water, the connections that unite our community, and the forward motion of progress, while honouring our roots and the millennia-long Indigenous presence that came before us.
The Riding the Wave slogan also evokes the significance of water. It underscores Verdun’s community spirit, creativity and vitality, as well as the dedication of its residents, businesses, institutions and organizations in making Verdun a wonderful place to live.
